July Insta-Highlights

Hi darlings! I hope you all enjoying the weekend! Oh my! I cannot believe how quickly, summer is ending, can we rewind!? If only… LOL.

July, I would say was one of the busiest months I faced thus far, which is why I felt like it ended quickly, as I wasn’t counting the days that went by! But, what’s important, is that I realised and learned about a lot of things, how to get better at what I do and how to do better in everyday life, like my daily routines and all that stuff! Met some really cool new people from the social media too! Everyday is a new day to learn something, trying on new things and enjoying what life has got to offer. A great thing to do at all times!

Have you stopped by my Instagram feed yet? If not, go check it out! Daily posts of my looks and inspiring moments! 🙂 Come say hi!

How are you spending the last month of Summer?

A Vintage Memory

Hi darlings, happy new month, happy new week! I hope you had a wonderful weekend!

The other day I saw this beautiful old woman. She looked about early 70s, had well looked after, blond hair in a bob style with a pale pink floral pin; she looked so focused at the boutique in front of her. I was standing just a few steps ahead wearing my sunglasses awaiting my friend and I couldn’t help but noticed the pearl earrings she was wearing, it had some wonderful bronze pink-like bold flowers around it… I then remembered my nan; I called her my nan, it was my grandfather’s friend. She looked after me loads, when my mother was at work; Was about 73 at the time, sadly passed away, years ago. She was very wise and one of the poshest person I ever knew, probably will ever know!

Everyday she had to make sure her hair was lush, weekly appointments to her best friend’s house saloon to get a perm and fresh blond colour for her hair, best hairdresser in the neighbourhood at that time. Always red lipstick on her lips. Oh my! Her jewellery drawer was exquisite such vintage pieces, pearls, silver, bronze and gold…; like I am one of those peoples that will look at something, try to visualize and study the way it’s made, where the artist was inspired by and all that from a really young age! Often I would go to her bedroom and open that specific drawer to just have a glance, admire the jewels and basically study them. There was this one time that she caught me wearing one of her earrings ( similar to the ones the old lady had ) she said to me, in Greek ”wait till you get older, you will not find these” LOL. She knew something; she spent a fortune on these during her youth, did I mention she was a model? A really beautiful one but still beautiful with wrinkles on her skin after years. Oh, all the fun times we had… I did, in fact, learn a few important things about life and style from her, which is probably where the rest of my fashion taste is coming from, that has really grown out of me and trust me it took a little while to realise that…!

And that’s the end of the story I guess, well that was intense… I really got carried away for a bit there. Coming back to that old lady, her outfit was just stunning, she had that nice purple and blue floral maxi skirt and cute shoes with flowers on them, I had to compliment her floral look! I was wondering how old her earrings were so I thought to get closer to ask, why not!? She told me ”darling, they’re as old as your age” and then we laughed, her response was sweet!

It’s really hard to find jewellery like that nowadays, these are a limited edition, really classic pieces, just like the rare vintage clothing. And that is why I dedicate this look to that classic era. Enjoy!

There is so much to explore, enjoy life!

Khaki and Camo

Well hello again, 🙂

…coming back in, after realising it has been a while since I have last posted. March was one of the busiest months ever! Really excited to say that I am now back but will not post as often as before as I am trying to balance everything back together. There are just so many things in the world I want to cherish and enjoy. Blogging is part of it too, so definitely I am not giving up on this!

I do hope you had a lovely month last month! and here is April, did you get to fool anyone on April’s fool? I surely did myself! 😀

New month, new hair and yet another new look, I have been loving khaki lately and I cannot lie, honestly this colour speaks class and vintage, and it is gorgeous in every way. Always love a bodycon dress: this one has long sleeves that go just before the beginning of your wrists and I did get one in black as I couldn’t resist how beautiful it was. I love a good vintage jacket, this one which I bought a few years back, is one of my favourites because of the sequins, colours and the camo print that is going on underneath it, it just follows so well with the dress. Simple hoop earrings, golden lips, sunglasses that not only match the dress but the leopard canvas shoes made it complete and I couldn’t be happier.

Most of the times I like to match my garments in the same colour, other times it will be just a pop of colour here and there or something totally different…

Valentine’s Day

Hi lovelies, I hope you all had a fantastic Val’s time… Happy Valentine’s Week though, because it is a late post and the love is still in there and it will always be…

Here we shot two different looks for that special date, day and night looks; though you don’t need to wait another year for Valentine’s to come by, so that you can wear something like that, try and make each day special, because you are worth it!

I kept it red, and in the feeling of love…

Red is such a bright and bold colour, one of my very favourites! Vibrant and fabulous!

~~VAL’S DAY OUT LOOK~~

If you can make an outfit look romantic, casual and playful at the same time, then you’ve got it boo! I normally use scarves as belts, I think that any outfit will look cute if you tie a scarf around your waist…

I wore a simple, black Zara blazer to tone down the look just a little bit. I like to match colours between clothes, but I tend to always throw something extra in my outfits.

~~VAL’S NIGHT OUT LOOK~~

That blazer from Zara really made the whole look pop; not to mention, that it goes perfectly well with the Houndstooth George pants that I wore, plus a belt to keep it all in place and toned up, and… for that extra edge and glam, the lace undergarments!

Some sweet romance…
