Let’s Talk Hair

img_2004

So, lately I’ve been getting a lot of direct messages on the gram ( @renevibez )and most of them were about my hair. This gorgeous platinum hair… I know, I love them too and yes I know this ain’t everybody’s cup of tea but this is me! As promised, I hope today’s article of the story behind my hair life, responds to all your questions, so keep on scrolling and enjoy the read!

If you already know… then you know..

Hands down! My final and most honest thought, it’s that I love hair! ( personally, long )  I don’t know what it is, just throw me a pile of hair and let me sleep on it. =D I have loved playing with hair since I was 14 years old! Where did all that time go? I would always wear a human hair weave-on or semi-synthetic wigs at the start of it all, as time went by I figured out ways and as I grew older and older, I learned a lot about hairs, not just from extensions but my own hair too. Yes I can make wigs ( No, I am not selling any just yet but I might consider it for the future, why not? ) and yes I do my own hair, I am self-taught. One must practice what they preach! I have done all sort of colours throughout my life…

I’ve gone bald and wigged, trust me, it has been many, many times, it’s hair, it is okay, it grows. back.. don’t be afraid to change your outlook just because someone doesn’t like it. Their opinion does not matter at all! I have never liked the Idea of going to a hairdresser; like some would say, they never get it just right, only close… If you are a hairdresser reading this, I hope this does not offend you, it’s not my intent, keep doing what you love!

So, back to this platinum beauty; many have asked if this is my real hair, umm… what do you say to that? It is hanging from my hair, it is extensions, ( yes they can be heavy on certain hair-dos ) but yes, I know, I can make exceptions that some people do not know the differences between real hair and natural hair and that applies to all races to be exact, before anyone starts saying this and that… LOL

I love this minimal colour and no I don’t think I would change this style anytime soon and to be exact, it has only been about a month and 1 week since installed. The only problem that I get,  is that my real hair underneath grow really fast ( if that is a problem ) So I will be taking them down this weekend to install fresh ones, you can wash them and re-use them but I don’t recommend, Is best to purchase new hair. I am using synthetic expressions hair extensions, I can use heat on them and they don’t tangle easily. No, I have chosen to stay on budget with low priced hair because I do not like to spend too much on them and I love it that way.

HELLO BLUE!

Back to the blue tonez…

wp-image-887402146

If you’ve been following my journey for a long while, then you must already know, I like to change the colour of my hair quite often as I get bored easily of hairstyles, maybe one day it will stop, but until then, stay tuned for more inspiring styles! 😉 Check out this article I posted about a very more previous hairstyle with a bit of the blue here!

I am an artist. I just love bright, eye-popping colours, especially in the hairstyle sector. Still thinking about a colour I haven’t done yet but running out of ideas… People who know me well, they go with the same usual line ”You’ve done all the colours but what about Pink?”; like I always say, the colour ”Pink” is not really for me, neither in clothes nor in hair, even as a little girl my mum wouldn’t dress me up with much pink, (maybe that’s why I don’t like to wear it…) I always had a choice of colour, mainly alone, in my childhood and just the rest of the accessories my mum would be the one to pick! The greatest stylist ever! Thank you mama, if you’re reading this! ❤

I am absolutely in love with this Atlantic Blue hair, sorry darlings, apparently this hair is not in stock online to share it with you. I do however make my own wigs, they are time consuming… LOL.

BIG HAIR, CUTE CURLS & A LIL’ PERSONA’

Another amazing week has just flown by… So, after going totally bald, and re-growing my hair, looking after my hair health, that rather grow quite fast I would say now; decided to finally fix up one of my wigs, cut it, wash it and style it, and girl, this beauty is fire!!! ( at least in my eyes… ) There is always so much fun! I like to believe that I am not that much of the girly girl, but people who know me well think otherwise, LOL Well you could say that yourself… but as long as I know myself, I love glitters, I hate pink ( I just don’t wear it, there is something I don’t like about it and I don’t know what, but I like to see others wear it, weird, I know! Not my cup of tea… ) I love doing my nails putting on wigs or extensions when I have my hair grown at a particular length, I do not wear make-up unless it is lipstick or an eyeliner, I don’t draw on my eyebrows, I am keeping it all healthy and nice. Pretty much that sums up a few things about my personality… =)

I hope everyone is enjoying the weekend! Where are you located in the globe? Is it nice and sunny? I hate this weather, although I am so over with it! Typical British weather, if you know, you know…

TOPSHOP SWEATER | GEORGE (ASDA) TOP | NAIL POLISH BY NEW YORK COLOUR

My New Ombre Curly Hair

It is new month, new crafts, and, the clocks went an hour backwards last week Sunday, as we are slowly reaching in, to this winter season once again this year and can you believe it is already November? 2016 sure went by so soon (as per every year) but I do believe this year went faster than any other! Lol. Can’t wait to share with you all of my Seasonal things, but on this thread it’s this hair I want to talk more about of as current hairstyle.

”I change hair often”

…said every woman who does so!

If you have been following my hair journey for a while, then you probably already know my signature hairstyle, which is called a Mohawk (a haircut, with hair usually only in the middle of your head, some ending at begining of spinal cord) but, with very long hair extensions installed in which I will talk more of that in depth very soon. As you may already know, I make wigs, so, I am so looking forward in modifying this one I bought, as I can never be happy whenever I purchase a full weave/wig.

I thought to give it a break from all of my bold hair colours for a little while and get to wear on a weave, or, wig? sSame thing to me, takes me back to where I used to wear all sort of wigs (the ones with the full bangs) oh, those were the days…

How I Curl My Synthetic Hair Extensions!

Another day, another post! A friend of mine suggested I should make a post, on how I curl the hair extensions, said it would be a good idea, but, I thought to myself, there are tons of tutorials around the world about curling synthetic hair… It will be done again and again by thousands of people.

It’s amazing how many questions I get regarding my hair, people say, ”oh you must be spending loads of cash on your hair” and this and that,  ugh… just wait, hang on a sec hun,  that’s not true, this is less than what you thought! I normally purchase 2 bundles of this hair for less than £3.00, either is eXpressions or Impressions, two different synthetic hair companies, with various of colours! It’s best, if you don’t want to buy and dye human hair extensions, too much time and too much £££ ! I change my hair so often, I do it all myself.

Save some money and go synthetic, become more creative! It’s fashion, it doesn’t have to be expensive but it can look expensive.

Oh, by the way this hairstyle is called ‘pick’n’drop’ in case you’re wondering! 🙂

Firstly, I part the hair in small sections,   I then start braiding it until I reach to my desired part of curls, the smaller the curl, the longer lasting, the bigger, the more voluminous. I usually like to leave it straight at the ends and that makes the hair longer,  meaning it gives an illusion, which is great if you like longer looking curls!

I then pour in water to boil in the kettle at max! The classic way to do this is to boil water on your kitchenette, but nobody does that these days.. (at least I don’t). I then pour in the hot water in to a pot, and let it set for about 50 secs making sure the whole hair is in, like I did in that picture bellow, on the right picture is how set the hair looked like, I know, it’s boiling hot water in glass, it didn’t burn me! (incase you’re wondering.. ) lol.

And finally after a minute I will just use a towel around my hair and basically let it dry, but it needs 12 hours so you might as well just sleep with a towel on your head (I actually did sleep with it) alternatively, I would’ve chose to use a hair dryer, but I don’t do that… and the next day I just simply undone the braids, brushed it and voila! 🙂
