Another day, another post! A friend of mine suggested I should make a post, on how I curl the hair extensions, said it would be a good idea, but, I thought to myself, there are tons of tutorials around the world about curling synthetic hair… It will be done again and again by thousands of people.
It’s amazing how many questions I get regarding my hair, people say, ”oh you must be spending loads of cash on your hair” and this and that, ugh… just wait, hang on a sec hun, that’s not true, this is less than what you thought! I normally purchase 2 bundles of this hair for less than £3.00, either is eXpressions or Impressions, two different synthetic hair companies, with various of colours! It’s best, if you don’t want to buy and dye human hair extensions, too much time and too much £££ ! I change my hair so often, I do it all myself.
Save some money and go synthetic, become more creative! It’s fashion, it doesn’t have to be expensive but it can look expensive.
Oh, by the way this hairstyle is called ‘pick’n’drop’ in case you’re wondering! 🙂
Firstly, I part the hair in small sections, I then start braiding it until I reach to my desired part of curls, the smaller the curl, the longer lasting, the bigger, the more voluminous. I usually like to leave it straight at the ends and that makes the hair longer, meaning it gives an illusion, which is great if you like longer looking curls!
I then pour in water to boil in the kettle at max! The classic way to do this is to boil water on your kitchenette, but nobody does that these days.. (at least I don’t). I then pour in the hot water in to a pot, and let it set for about 50 secs making sure the whole hair is in, like I did in that picture bellow, on the right picture is how set the hair looked like, I know, it’s boiling hot water in glass, it didn’t burn me! (incase you’re wondering.. ) lol.
And finally after a minute I will just use a towel around my hair and basically let it dry, but it needs 12 hours so you might as well just sleep with a towel on your head (I actually did sleep with it) alternatively, I would’ve chose to use a hair dryer, but I don’t do that… and the next day I just simply undone the braids, brushed it and voila! 🙂
